Ms Hazel Law is an Associate Director of the Intermediaries Division of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.
In her current role, Ms Law is primarily responsible for the formulation of the Commission’s fintech policies and supervising the licensing applications for virtual asset trading platforms, brokers and asset management firms involved in tokenised securities or virtual asset activities. Prior to assuming this role, Ms Law worked in the Investment Products Division of the SFC, where she played a key role in authorising retail investment products including mutual funds and exchange traded funds.
Ms Law is a qualified lawyer in Hong Kong, Australia (New South Wales), and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining the SFC, she was a derivatives and structured finance lawyer in an international law firm, where she held positions in their Hong Kong and London offices.
