The Economic Secretary to the Treasury

Rachel Blake MP was appointed Economic Secretary to the Treasury on 14 May 2026. As City Minister, the Economic Secretary is responsible for financial services policy, reform and regulation, engagement with the financial services sector, personal savings policy, financial sanctions, and countering economic crime.
Before her election as the Labour (Co-op) Member of Parliament for Cities of London and Westminster in 2024, Rachel represented Bow East on Tower Hamlets London Borough Council from 2014 to 2024.
