Matthew Danzig is a Managing Director at Lazard where he focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private placements, and shareholder activism in the technology sector with a focus on fintech. At Lazard, Matthew has worked on a number of cryptocurrency / blockchain transactions, including CoinDesk on its sale to Bullish and JP Morgan on its investment in Digital Asset Holdings.
Prior to Lazard, Matthew was an associate at the law firm of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where he advised clients on mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activism, spin-offs and corporate governance matters.
Matthew received a B.B.A. with distinction from Emory University Goizueta Business School. Matthew also completed a J.D. magna cum laude from New York University School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and served as senior executive editor of the New York University Journal of Law and Liberty. Following graduation from law school, he clerked for the Honorable Donald F. Parsons, Jr. of the Delaware Court of Chancery.
