Johnson Chen has been in the technology, finance and healthcare industry for more than 20 years, building and steering growth companies throughout his career, both from the business builder and investment side.
Johnson is the Founder & CEO of global private capital markets platform CapBridge, which together with secondary trading private exchange platform 1exchange (1X), provide a comprehensive private capital eco-system in primary and secondary opportunities for deserving companies and sophisticated investors. Fully licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), CapBridge and 1X are formed in partnership with Singapore Exchange (SGX). Johnson is the MAS licensed representative for CapBridge. CapBridge and 1X Exchange is now part of FOMO Global Holdings, a leading pan-Asia payments solution and Digital Payment Token (DPT) company, licensed as a Major Payment Institution (MPI) and for DPT
by the MAS.
With CapBridge and 1X, growth companies and family businesses can accelerate their growth through intelligent primary capital raises and secure secondary trading of shares, while remaining privately held. CapBridge also provides investor access to public market products via a partnership with Moomoo Financial/ Futu Limited, late stage IPO via a linkage with NASDAQ Private Markets, and other cash management treasury products via the CapBridge access platform.
Johnson is also the Founder and Non-executive Chairman of Clearbridge Health (SGX ticker: 1H3) a pan- Asia precision healthcare company. Johnson is also the Founder of Biolidics (SGX ticker: 8YY) a microfluidic based liquid biopsy tumor diagnosis company. Johnson is the Founding Director of Singapore Institute of Advanced Medicine Holdings Limited (SGX ticker: 9G2), a proton-therapy and radiation medical oncology group. Johnson is also the Co-Founder of BUZUD, a digital medical device and clinical management software AI company. Earlier in his career, Johnson co-founded and successfully exited two tech startups.
Johnson was one of the pioneering team members of Hong Kong based information and incumbent communications technology service company Pacific Century CyberWorks Limited (PCCW) in Hong Kong.
Johnson sits on the Singapore National Research Foundation Proof-of-Concept grant panel and is a member of the Strategic Research Innovation Fund committee of NTUitive, Nanyang Technological University’s innovation and enterprise company.
As the top graduate in the officer cadet course during his National Service with the Singapore Armed Forces, Johnson was awarded the prestigious Sword of Honour by the President of Singapore.
Johnson holds a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering Tripos (MET) from the University of Cambridge, UK.
