Deepa Raja Carbon is Managing Director and Vice Chairperson of VARA, where she leads the development and scale-up of Dubai’s virtual assets ecosystem, with a focus on regulatory clarity, market integrity, investor protection and responsible innovation.
She also serves as Executive Vice President, Corporate Office, at Dubai World Trade Centre, overseeing corporate strategy and commercial functions. Deepa brings nearly 20 years of experience across economic strategy, regulatory governance, major global events and international consulting, including leadership roles linked to Expo 2020 Dubai, as well as experience with Booz & Company, the World Bank and UNDP.
