Fintech Director, Hong Kong Monetary Authority
Danny Chau is a Fintech Director at the Fintech Facilitation Office of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), a role he has held since February 2023. As the project lead for Project Ensemble, a pioneering initiative launched in March 2024, he is dedicated to advancing the tokenisation ecosystem in Hong Kong. In this capacity, he oversees the project’s strategic development and implementation, ensuring its alignment with the broader Fintech strategy of the HKMA. With over two decades of experience at the HKMA, Mr. Chau has developed extensive expertise in technology and digital transformation. His career has included various roles in cloud strategy, networking, and IT security.
Mr. Chau holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Hong Kong and a Master of Science degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
